Depression is a common but serious mood disorder. It is marked by persistent feelings of sadness. Symptoms include loss of interest, angry outbursts, sleep disturbances, feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. Most of us will experience feeling down or feeling blue from time to time. Depression is different because of length and severity. Suicidal thoughts can also be part of depression.
At Solace we treat adults, adolescents and children who are experiencing depression. We also treat postpartum depression. We work with the family unit as a whole when appropriate as well as trusted physicians to create a plan of care.
