Grief is the pain that we feel as a result of loss. We experience loss in many ways. The death of a loved one, end of a dream, loss of a relationship, or the transition to an empty nest are just a few of the losses that change us and create pain. 

At Solace we care for adults and children who are experiencing loss in their life. So often times life doesn’t look like we thought it would.  It is in these moments that a relationship with a caring therapist can help us navigate feelings of anger, sadness, and fear. 

In therapy, the client can work to see life through the lens of hope to begin to feel more capable of adapting to the changes the loss has brought.  While we are forever changed by loss we can begin to move from feeling stuck to feeling strong.
