Esther Brown
Graduate Student Intern

Esther is a graduate student completing her internship under the supervision of Allison Cooper, LPC-S. She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2011, has spent the last 10 years working with children and families and is currently working on her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas at Tyler with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. 

 

Esther believes that all individuals should have a safe place to process the joys and challenges of life. She feels privileged to hear someone’s story and is thrilled to work with clients of all ages. She believes that people matter most and utilizes a Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral approach in order to establish a strong therapeutic relationship and trust with her clients. 

 

Esther has experience working in the non-profit sector and with children and families, and recognizes the importance of healthy support systems in every stage of life. She has been married for 13 years and has two children.

 

Areas of interest include: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Adjustments and Transitions
