Holly Haswell, M.A.
LPC ASSOCIATE
Supervised by
Millie Tanner, LPC-S
Holly is a native Texan and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Millie Tanner, LPC-S. Holly began her counseling journey as a client advocate at both the Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center and Hope Pregnancy Center in Canton, TX. She has helped women and their partners experiencing unplanned pregnancies, and women in need of post-abortion recovery. She holds a B.A. in English, with a specialization in Creative Writing, from Southern Methodist University. She later continued her education at Amberton University, earning a Masters in Professional Counseling.
Holly is passionate about processing disenfranchised grief (grief not recognized or validated in society, perhaps due to stigma). Examples include loss of a pet, perinatal losses, elective abortions, loss of a personality from dementia, loss of a friend or former spouse, and loss of a home or a job.
Through her own journey of healing, Holly has experienced the transformative power of a therapeutic relationship and enjoys creating a safe place for clients to explore, own, or rewrite their life stories. Holly is humbled and joyed to walk alongside clients towards greater mental health and well-being. Holly and her husband Lucas have one young son, and two old dogs.
Holly’s specialties include: maternal mental health, disenfranchised grief, healing from childhood wounds, relationships, depression, anxiety and post-abortive care.
